Waukesha will be hosting a program wide Waukesha Warm Up 8/25-9/24 for Mites through Bantams. Squirts, PW and Bantams will skate Tuesday and Thursday evening while Mites will skate on Wednesday evenings. See our Events page for schedule and to register.
Waukesha Warm Up will be ran by WCYHA’s Director of Hockey Bud Simon and the Warhawks Coaching Staff. Our goal for the 4 week program is to get the kids ready for tryouts and the coaches ready for the season.
With tryouts being a month later this year taking the month of September to hit the ground running will be a difference maker in our Teams successes this year. We are very excited to get our Coaching Staff and the kids together after a long off season. These sessions will consist of Skills, Tactics and Games. Each session will have a maximum of 42 kids so we can maximize the touches so don’t delay in signing up.
As we approach registration which will open on June 15, we want to share with you the costs and payment structure for the upcoming 2020-21 season. Costs for this season are increasing due to increases in ice fees and other costs expected this year. However, we are not going to be charging separate tryout fees this year and we are offering a discount payment option to help keeps costs reasonable for families.
As a reminder, WCYHA charges a flat fee for the season by level. This fee is paid partially at registration with the remaining skater fees paid per the schedule. We also charge one volunteer fee each year per family which is billed to the highest level skater for families with multiple skaters. If families meet their 10 hour volunteer requirement, the fee is credited back to the family at the start of the following season.
If you have any questions on this payment structure, please contact a member of the Board.
Thank you and we look forward to seeing your skaters all back on the ice soon!
