Eble Park Ice Arena is accepting enrollment for their Fall Learn to Play Hockey programs. Interested families can find more information below. 

 

Introduction to Ice Skating for Hockey

  • Taught By: Waukesha County Park System Staff
  • Designed For: First-time skaters, who little to no experience.
  • Ages: 4 to 12.
  • Next Session Begins: Tuesday, March 19, 2024
  • Classes Held: Tuesdays from 5:45pm to 6:15pm.
  • Cost: $85.00 for 5 - week session.

Learn to Play Hockey for Kids

  • Taught By: Waukesha County Park System Staff
  • Designed For: Skaters who have completed "Introduction to Ice Skating for Hockey" or a similar learn-to-skate program.
  • Ages: 4 to 12.
  • Next Session Begins: Tuesday, March 19, 2024
  • Classes Held: Tuesdays from 5:45pm to 6:15pm.
  • Cost: $85.00 for 5 - week session.

Learn to Skate

Cost $85

Wednesday's 5:30 - 6:00pm  4-8 year olds

Hockey Learn to Skate: 5 weeks. Focuses on basic skating skills needed to play hockey. Pucks and sticks are not used.

Equipment Requirements

  • Helmet (with face mask recommended)
  • Hockey Skates – but Free Rentals will be available at all lessons
  • Knee pads or hockey shinguards
  • Elbow pads
  • Gloves or mittens

 

  • Session 1: May 29th - June 26th
  • Session 2: July 10th - August 7th

Learn to Play Hockey

Cost $85

Wednesday's 6:00 - 6:30pm 4-11 year olds

5 weeks - Must have taken a learn to skate class to participate. Introduces the basics of hockey. Stickhandling, shooting, passing, and game play are taught.

Equipment Requirements 

  • Helmet with Facemask
  • Hockey Skates – but Free Rentals will be available at all lessons
  • Hockey shinguards
  • Elbow pads
  • Gloves or mittens

Waukesha County Youth Hockey Association

WCYHA, founded in 1974, is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to the sport of youth hockey and run by dedicated volunteers. We are an affiliate of USA Hockey and the Wisconsin Amateur Hockey Association. We currently serve children in a defined territory, determined by WAHA, in the following school districts: Kettle Moraine, Mukwonago, portions of New Berlin (New Berlin West High School boundary), Oconomowoc, Pewaukee, and Waukesha (except Town of Brookfield). Please contact the VP Off-Ice with any questions about territorial eligibility.
